When two world leaders meet each other they should look at each other on an even playing field. In other words, they both look each other right in the eye…
President Obama was a disaster on the world stage when it came to foreign policy. No honest person can really say otherwise.
You can’t point to a single place in the world where Obama made things better during his presidency.
Except maybe Iran and Cuba. He was pretty good to them.
For the most part, Obama made everything worse.
Remember when Obama traveled around the world bowing to people? A lot of Americans were a little turned off by that.
Here’s Obama in Japan.
Well, Trump showed up in Japan today and did things a little differently.
From The Daily Caller: President Donald Trump met the Japanese emperor Monday morning, but opted for a handshake over a bow.
Trump arrived in Japan Sunday for discussions with senior leadership on issues ranging from trade to North Korea. His stop in Japan is part of a two-week tour of Asia that will take him to Japan, South Korea, China, Vietnam, and the Philippines. When he met Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko, he delivered a firm handshake.
Sure, it’s nice to observe local customs and be respectful.
At the same time, we project a lot more power if we shake hands like equals rather than bow like we are loyal subjects of the emperor.
Liberals will hate this.
Conservatives will love it.
